Chapter 6: Epic Battle; Osiris versus Obelisk. Domino City is destroyed.

Seto Kaiba: "Yugi, you may have destroyed the Cannon however my deck is still quite strong. Next turn Yugi, I will show you something that'll blow you away."

Yami Yugi: "Not if I can blow you away first Kaiba." He draws a card from his deck. "Hmm, well Kaiba. I drew a special Magic Card." Yami throws it down on the Duel Disk. "The Hand Rebirth card!"

Seto: "What did you say, the Hand Rebirth card? No way you obtained such a rare card, it's a mere myth."

Yami: Holds up his card. "Sorry Kaiba, but this is easily the games rarest of rare Magic Cards. Maybe 10, 15 exist in the world Kaiba and believe me it was not easy to get a hold of. However, I do have a hold of it and it makes us discard our hand and draw 5 new cards." Yugi's cards go to the graveyard as do Kaiba's and both draw 5 new cards. "Now for my turn, I summon Magnet Warrior Alpha in attack mode." The warrior emerges and sparkles in the lights. 1400/1700. "That’s all I can do for now. Your move Kaiba."

Seto: 8000     Yugi: 8000

Seto: He smirks at first, and draws a card and begins to roar in laughter. Yugi watches him from the other side of the field, wondering why Kaiba is laughing so much. Then he plays a Polymerization card down on his Duel Disk.

Yami Yugi: Chokes for a moment. "N..No it can't be! So soon?"

Seto: Grins. "Yes Yugi, I fuse Vasago of Dark Destruction with the legendary Blue Eyes White Dragon and another Blue Eyes. Vasago can count as any monster in a Fusion, so I use him to act as another Blue Eyes, and I create my decks ultimate monster." The three monsters melt onto the field, a large flash of light is seen, and a horrible roar is heard. "I call on the Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon!" The mighty 3 Headed Beast emerges and stuns everyone who looks down on it. 4500/3800 "Now Yugi, witness it's power first hand once again. Ultimate Blue Eyes..."

Yami Yugi: Watches on in anger as the mighty Dragon powers up.

Seto: "This match is mine, Ultimate Burst Stream!" He throws his arm down and the mighty dragon fires 3 powerful beams at Magnet Warrior Alpha, shattering it into pieces and taking a chunk of Yugi's LP with them. Kaiba watches as Yugi reels from the attack and grins. "I knew you'd do something to help me out, I must admit, if not for your own card, I may not have faired so well. Thank you Yugi. I end my turn."

Seto: 8000     Yugi: 5200

Yami Yugi: Draws. "Alright Kaiba, lets see how you fair against this. I play a Magic Card, Diffusion!" He slaps it on his duel disk.

Seto: Gawks for a moment. "D..Diffusion?"

Yami Yugi: Yes Kaiba. With Diffusion I am allowed to de-fuse your Ultimate Dragon back to it's 3 basic forms.

The Diffusion begins and Vasago, BEWD 1 and 2 all appear on the field in attack mode.

Seto: "God damn it Yugi!" Clenches his fist. "I will not let you beat me like this!"

Yami Yugi: Smirks some and lays down Card of Resurrection. "Now Kaiba, I resurrect the Black Magician!"

Seto: Reels back. 'Damn him, he summoned his favorite monster now as well. He's merely mocking me, but he doesn't suspect my real plan at all. Yugi just handed me the game.'

Yami Yugi: Activates Card of Resurrection, summoning the Black Magician back from the cemetery and into play. It stands tall as it twirls around it’s scepter and stares down Kaiba’s Blue Eyes. 2500/2100. “Now Black Magician!” The Black Magician raises it’s scepter high and charges up it’s energy. “Black Magic attack, now!” The Black Magician aims and fires a powerful blast of dark energy at Vasago, killing it and taking 1400 of Kaiba’s Life Points as well.  Yami stands there and smiles at Kaiba, he places a card face down and closes his eyes. “I end my turn Kaiba. Your move.”

Seto: 6600     Yugi: 5200

Seto: Draws and looks up. “Thank you Yugi.”

Yami Yugi: Blinks and looks at him. “What do you mean Kaiba?”

Seto: Holds up a card and closes his eyes smiling. “ First I play Card of Resurrection to revive Vasago. Yugi. For a while now I searched for a way to defeat you, until one person told me the best possible way to do it. Now I see what he means. You ensured your own defeat Yugi, as this card is going to tear you apart.” Grins as both the Blue Eyes White Dragon and Vasago on the field are destroyed and form a dark storm. A clash of lightning is heard and everyone gazes on in amazement. “Yugi Mutou, your Diffusion card allowed me to get 3 monsters on the field super fast, which is why I let you use it. I knew you would Yugi, and now thanks to you. I summon the Colossus of Obelisk!”

The storm rages on, and Obelisk emerges from the Duel Disk. The huge blue warrior stands tall over everything, he is Kaiba’s ultimate beast in terms of ability, and also his decks most unstoppable monsters, rivaled only by the other 2 God Cards, Obelisk is easiest to summon, and now stands tall to attack Yugi Mutou. 4000/4000

Yami Yugi: Backs up some. “What have you done Kaiba? That monster, how could you unleash it now and here?”

Seto: Smirks. “Yugi, this match is not a match for just some card you see. It’s also a match for my pride Yugi Mutou. I don’t expect you to understand Yugi, you’ve been surrounded by friends and happy childhood memories forever. You never needed pride.” Kaiba lowers his head.

Yami Yugi: Keeps a still face and looks on. “…Kaiba…”

Seto: Clenches his fists tightly. “Do you have any idea how bad it is to lose both your parents at such a young age and be forced to take care of your little brother and take on responsibility? No Yugi I don’t think you can comprehend what it means to lose almost everything in a day, and then try so hard to bring it all back together. I do Yugi, and I did. I promised my little brother Mokuba I would take care of him.” Seto reaches into his shirt and pulls out a metal case, opens it and looks at a picture of his little brother inside it. “And I did Yugi, I did because I had pride.”

Everyone in the arena stares at Seto Kaiba, even Maximillion Pegasus is speechless from Kaiba’s sudden outburst. Yami Yugi just watches on, not twitching an inch.

Seto: “..and then one day I lost it.” Seto looks up at Yugi. “You took it from me Yugi Mutou the day you defeated me for the first time, it still haunts me even to this day!”

Yami Yugi: Gazes at Kaiba in shock.

Seto: “Though my rival you were spectacular, and you won using the Heart of the Cards as you call it, where I was fighting on my pride alone. I was so full of myself I couldn’t have won that duel, however despite the fact I lost my arrogance to an extent that day Yugi, you also stripped me of my pride and made me a fool. Since then I have never beaten you the right way Yugi, and this is my chance to do it.” Kaiba puts his picture away and rises up. “Now Yugi, I will crush you and take my pride back. Obelisk!” Obelisk stands tall and lets out a mighty roar as it gazes down on Black Magician. “God Hand Crusher!” The mighty Obelisk powers up and raw energy surges thru his fist and crashes down on Yugi’s Black Magician, destroying it and taking some of Yugi’s LP as well.

Above them, Yami Bakura watches on as Kaiba continues to weaken Yugi’s mental defenses. Fixated on Kaiba winning this duel, and then gaining what he has yearned for.

Yami Yugi: Thinks solemnly to himself. ‘Kaiba, what are you doing this for.’ He gazes at a smuggish look on Kaiba’s face, a look of superiority that makes Yami sick to just look at. ‘Kaiba, is a Blue Eyes truly whats driving you to be so heartless…”

Seto: “Yugi, it is your turn now.”

Seto: 6600       Yugi: 3700

Yami Yugi: Draws and pauses for a moment. ‘T..The Saint Dragon of Osiris. If only I could find a way to use it. Wait, I have Pot of Greed. If I used this, I could have 4 cards in my hand besides Osiris. But how will I summon it, I have no monsters in play.’

“For someone who is the King of Games, you certainly give up rather easily Pharaoh.”

Yami Yugi: Pauses in shock, as he recognizes that voice. “M-Malik. Malik is that you?”

Voice: “Yes Yugi Mutou, it is I, Malik. And despite the fact I despise you, I know I must help you this time.”

Yami Yugi: “Malik, I thought Bakura killed you.”

Malik: Doesn’t speak for a moment. “Yes, Yes he did kill me Pharaoh, and my sister Isis. He even managed to defeat Shadi in a Dark Game and erased his mind completely.”

Yami Yugi: Closes his eyes. “It was the spirit in the Millennium Ring that did these terrible things.”

Malik: “And now Yugi, using my Millennium Rod, he has taken control of Seto Kaiba.”

Yami Yugi: His jaw drops in shock and his skin turns pale. “K…Kaiba is being controlled?”

Malik: “If you lose this duel to Kaiba, Bakura will certainly make an attempt on your Puzzle. For what he did to Isis, and me I feel I should help you. So I am contacting you from beyond the grave to tell you how you can win.”

Yami Yugi: Opens his eyes and nods. “Malik, I swear, I will do whatever I need to to put an end to the Spirit of Bakura’s Ring’s twisted ideas. I will not allow him to get away with what he has done and is doing.”

Malik: Remains silent. “Now Pharaoh, Osiris is at your beck and call. He must be summoned to combat his rival Obelisk.”

Yami Yugi: Sighs deeply. “Malik I don’t have enough monsters I can offer to summon him.”

Malik: “Isis, teach it to him now.”

Seto: Looks on for a moment as Yugi stands there with his eyes closed. He smirks a little. “Yugi, can’t you figure out a way to come back? Or is this your way of saying you forfeit Yugi.” Crosses his arms and closes his eyes. “This is pitiful, say something.”

Yami Yugi. Opens his eyes. “Homage to thee, Osiris, Lord of eternity, King of the Gods…”

Seto: Looks at Yugi, and thinks to himself. ‘What is he doing, that fool doesn’t expect to summon Osiris does he?’

Yami Yugi: “…thou art a shining Spirit-Body, the governor of Spirit-Bodies; permanent is thy rank, established is thy rule. Thou art the well-doing Sekhem of the Company of the Gods…”

Seto: Watches on and grows angry as he does. ‘Damn it, he’s wasting time.’

Bakura: Looks down on the field at Yugi. “That is from the Book of the Dead. How does he know this hymn to Osiris?!?!”

Yami Yugi: “…gracious is thy face, and beloved by him that seeth it. Thy fear is set in all the lands by reason of thy perfect love, and they cry out to thy name making it the first of names, and all people make offerings to thee. Thou art the lord who art commemorated in heaven and upon earth. Many are the cries which are made to thee at the Uak festival, and with one heart and voice Egypt raiseth cries of joy to thee….” He closes his eyes and folds his hands together. “I have payed my undying respects unto you. Thou art truly just, and thou art my lord. I ask of you please, aid me now when I need you.” He raises his head and slaps a card on his Duel Disk “Go!, Saint Dragon of Osiris!”

Seto: Looks on in shock. “What, Osiris, you’re kidding me!”

Bakura: Reels back. “Grrr, this just can’t be!”

The clouds turn pitch black, and the world begins to shake. Everyone gazes in fear and shock as a mysterious glow seeps thru the clouds. A mysterious red monster emerges and lets out a roar, it is the mighty Dragon, Saint Dragon of Osiris.

Person in the crowd: “Well damn, that was some sick stuff that point haired guy just did.”

Person in the crowd #2: “Is this a Magic show or something?”

Seto: Looks on in shock and amazement. You can see fear in his eyes as he looks on. “Impossible, you didn’t pay any tributes!”

Yami Yugi: Smirks. “I thought you were better than being controlled Kaiba.”

Seto looks back at him with an angry look.

Bakura: “So he figured it out eh, well too bad. Nothing he does is going to save him, not when I have the power of the Millennium Ring.” The ring appears thru his shirt and glows brightly. “Now the game gets even more interesting.”

A darkness covers the field, and Yami Yugi and Seto suddenly feel themselves falling, and they are now on two separate roof tops, facing each other. Before them is Obelisk and Osiris, but nothing more.

Yami Yugi: “What is this?” he looks around. “This is Bakura’s magic, he is causing this. I can feel the energy of his Ring causing this.”

Bakura: He speaks to Yugi and Seto directly into their minds. “Now the fun begins. You stand on the roof tops, and below you is Domino City. Then monsters have been brought to life and now the real game begins.”

Yami Yugi: Looks up in the sky angrily. “Bakura stop this now, this could get dangerous if what you say is true.”

Seto: Stares at Yami motionless from the other roof top. “Don’t cower Yugi.”

Yami Yugi: Glares at Kaiba. “Kaiba, surely you aren’t so greedy as to put other peoples lives at risk!”

Seto: “All I care about now is the Blue Eyes Yugi, and I said I won’t let anything stop me from getting it.” He raises his hand. “Obelisk, get ready for battle” Obelisk lowers it’s arms and stands up tall.

Yami Yugi: He gazes back at Kaiba surprised. ‘Surely this is not happening, but I have to confront Obelisk and make sure he doesn’t harm anyone.’ “Pot of Greed!” Yami slaps the card down and draws 2 cards. “Now with this, Osiris has an attack power of 4000 and a Defense of 4000 to boot.”

Seto: Grins. “Raise his attack why don’t you, now I command you Obelisk, attack Osiris!” Obelisk starts charging energy up. “God hand Crush!”

Yami Yugi: “Thunder Force!” Osiris fires it’s Thunder Force attack and the attacks of both creatures negate each other. “Kaiba, stop this now!”

Seto: Draws a card and sets it on his duel disk face down. “Not a chance. I end my turn.”

Yami Yugi: Draws a card. “Then I will Kaiba!” He thinks to himself. ‘When Obelisk and Osiris attacked each other, they should have destroyed each other. But when the battle ended, both Obelisk and Osiris remained standing. I don’t know why but I can’t take chances. I have to attack Obelisk while Osiris has greater attack.’ “Saint Dragon of Osiris! Attack Obelisk!”

Seto: “I activate my Trap Card!”

Yami Yugi: “Trap card?” He looks back startled.

Seto: “Launch Trap card, Curse of Darkness Trap Card.”

A stream of Black Chains jumps out from the around and ensnares Osiris. Tying him up, and halting his attack on Obelisk.

Yami Yugi: “Damn. So your hidden card was a Trap Card.”

Seto: “It is said card effects can only harm a monster for 1 turn. So when ur turn ends Osiris will be freed again. For now, Obelisk remains safe from your assult.” He claps. “I commend you Yugi, you are being a worthy rival indeed. However on my next turn, I am afraid I must end this duel.”

Yami Yugi: Closes his eyes and smirks. “Kaiba, I am afraid you are mistaken.”

Seto: “What?”

Yami Yugi: Holds his hand up. “I set all my remaining cards in my Magic and Trap Zone.”

Seto: “All your cards?!?!” He shakes for a second. ‘Using all his M/T zone for an assault on me. Not only that, he loweded Osiris’s attack and defense to zero. He can’t change it to defense this turn because of my Trap. But no matter. Obelisk can power through Mirror Force or an other Trap that might target him. Even if he doesn’t, what can Yugi possibly do next turn.’ “I accept your challenge Yugi Mutou. Challenging me to attack was a huge mistake you’ll regret.”

Yami Yugi: “Your turn, Kaiba.”

Seto: 6600   Yugi: 3700

Seto: Draws a card. “Now Obelisk. It’s time we show Yugi your power. I attack Saint Dragon of Osirs!” Obelisk powers up and punches at Osiris. “God Hand Crush!”

Yami Yugi: “Activate Trap Card. Magical Hats.”

Seto: “Magical Hats? Is that the best you can do.”

Yami Yugi: “Now I chain my own Trap card with another!” Yugi’s second Trap card activates and a spear rains from the sky and strikes right thru Obelisk.

Seto: Reels in shock. “Obelisk!”

Yami Yugi: “Trap Card Enchanted Javelin. This Trap takes the attacking monsters Ki and uses it to raise my Life Points. Since this is Obelisk, my Life Points increase by 4000 points.”

Yami Yugi: 7700

Seto: “Damn it! You targeted the attack of Obelisk so you could increase your LP.”

Yami Yugi: “Also Kaiba. My Magical Hats will conceal Saint Dragon under 1 Hat.” 3 Large hats appear on the field, one covers Osirs. The 3 hats then shuffle themselves together quickly and stop in a row. “Osiris is under 1 hat, guess right and he’s destroyed. Guess wrong Kaiba and Osiris lives on.”

Seto: Looks over each Hat. He grips a fist and yells to Obelisk. “God Hand Crush the hat on the right!”

Obelisk punches right thru the Hat, however he runs straight thru it, and that’s when the reality of this game sinks in. Obelisk drives right thru the hat, and his fist crashes into the building Yami is standing on, badly damaging it.

Yami Yugi: Nearly falls but catches himself. “Kaiba! If you don’t stop this Domino City will be destroyed by these attacks!”

Seto: “Yugi, I will not lose to you!”

Yami Yugi: ‘Ryou is controlling Kaiba’s mind. I have to do something to end this or Domino will be history. If I draw it on my turn.’ Yami stares at his deck. ‘I can end this duel.’

Seto: ‘Damn, I missed Osiris. Next turn Yugi, you won’t be so fortunate.’ Seto sets one card on his Magic/Trap zone. “Yugi. I set this card and end my turn.”

Yami Yugi: “I draw!” Yami looks and sighs. “Damn, not the card I needed.” I may as well play it.” Yami places a card on his Duel Disk. “I activate Hasty Burial to revive Black Magician.”

Seto: Grins. “Chain with Destruction Ring!” Seto’s Destruction Ring activates and latches itself around Osiris. “While it won’t deal any damage since Osiris is zero and zero, it will get him out of my way.”

Yami Yugi: “Osiris…” Yami watches as Osiris is destroyed, then Black Magician appears on the field. “I lose 800 Life Points for using Hasty Burial.”

Yami Yugi: 6900

Yami Yugi: “I can’t do anything else, I end my turn.”

Seto: “I draw.” He draws a card and smiles. “Yugi. I end this now.”

Yami Yugi: “What?” He steps back a bit.

Seto: “Summon Lord of Dragon’s in attack mode, and use Magic Card Flute of Summoning Dragon!” The Lord of Dragon’s blows into the flute and Diamond Dragon and the Blue Eyes White Dragon emerge onto the field. 2100/2800   3000/2500

Yami Yugi: “Damn it!” He steps back in fear.

Seto: “Now I offer Diamond Dragon and Lord of Dragons to trigger Obelisk’s effect. Destroy all monsters and damage the player will be damaged.”

Yami Yugi: “Activate Trap Card Magic Circle of Protection. This card protects all spellcasters for one turn by removing them from play.” The Black Magician disappears from the field.

Seto: “God Hand Crush!”

Obelisk’s fist drives straight down on Yami, causing him to be thrown back several feet from the force.

Yami Yugi: “Ahhhhhh!” He holds his chest.

Yami Yugi: 2900

Seto: “And now Yugi! I will finish you finally. Blue Eyes White Dragon, Burst Stream!”

The burst stream fires directly at Yugi, but a cup shaped object catches the attack before it hits, and the Burst stream fires back at Kaiba, hitting him Directly.

Seto: “Gahhhh.” Seto falls to one knee in pain. “Wha… what just happened.” He says as one eye twitches.

Yami Yugi: Gets to his feet and breathes deeply. “Magical Cylinders Trap Card. Sent your BEWD’s attack back at you, hitting the player directly and protecting me.”

Seto: 3600

Seto: Stumbles to his feet again. “End Phase…” As he says that a Hexagram appears in the center of the field, and Black Magician reemerges.

Seto: 3600         Yami Yugi: 2900

Yami Yugi: Draws a card. And closes his eyes, tears come from them. “Kaiba. I am sorry, but I cannot let you continue like this.”  I must end this now. I summon Magnet Warrior Alpha, in attack mode.” Alpha appears on the field with a mighty swipe of it’s sword. 1400/1700

Seto: Looks on. “Yugi, alpha may be a strong monster, but he doesn’t compare to the Colossus of Obelisk.”

Yami Yugi: “I only have one card left. I activate my last set M/T, Brain Control!”

Seto: Gawks in shock. “B…Brain Control?!”

Bakura: “No this can’t be, a Brain Control card!”

Yami Yugi: “Brain Control allows me to take control of one opposing monster, and I choose Obelisk!”

Seto watches as Obelisk walks over to Yugi’s side and stands tall gazing down at Kaiba.

Seto: “I… I am going to lose…”

Yami Yugi: “Forgive me Black Magician. Forgive me, Alpha.” Yugi looks up at his two monsters. “I must sacrafice you in this duel to stop Kaiba from hurting anyone. Please, forgive me.” A tear rolls down his cheek. “I activate the special ability of Obelisk. Offering Alpha and Black Magician to do so.”

Obelisk powers up as Black Magician and Alpha are destroyed.

Seto: Closes his eyes. ‘This is it, it seems…Yugi… you are a true duelist.’ He grips a fist and looks up. “Yugi!”

Yami Yugi: “Kaiba…”

Seto: He smirks. “You better win the Blue Eyes White Dragon, Yugi. You are the only other worth holding it.”

Yami Yugi: ‘Kaiba…’ Tears roll down his cheek as Obelisk powers up further, finally ready to attack. ‘This is not easy for me Kaiba… I am so sorry about this.’ “All bodies are destroyed, and the Player will be damaged!” The Blue Eyes White Dragon is destroyed and Obelisk punches at Kaiba. “Obelisk! God Hand Crush!”

Obelisk punches Kaiba with it’s attack, sending Kaiba flying backwards, scattering duel monster cards thru the air as it does.

Seto: Sits up slightly. “Y…Y…Yugi…” He falls backwards unconscious.

Seto: 0000         Yami Yugi: 3900

Yami Yugi: Falls to his knees. “K…Kaiba…” He falls face forward, and passes out.

Bakura: Grins menacingly. “This is perfect! Though Kaiba lost, now both are unconscious. I can grab Osiris and Obelisk with ease, and Yugi’s Millennium Puzzle!” He puts the Millennium Rod in a back pack and runs for the roof exit. ‘Now Yugi Mutou, your puzzle is mine, and I will finally at last gain the power of the Millennia.

Yugi and Kaiba are out cold, and now Bakura has the chance to get the Millennium Puzzle and the final God cards without a hitch! Is his evil ambitions finally come to pass?
