Well I picked up a Subaru motor from a junk yard and started building a Trike to put it in. When it was just about time to get the motor ready to install, we decided to make a job change. Not knowing where we might wind up, and not having any experience with these motors, I decided to finish the build with a VW motor. I have to be honest with you. I was very intimidated by this motor. I’m not what you’d call a gear head. I’ve never taken a motor apart before and frankly, I didn’t really want too, so it was an easy decision for me. I sold the motor shortly thereafter to a good friend and went to our new job and wound up having to sale our Trikes and fully expected that I’d never build another one
