The latest one on one beat 'em up from Capcom has taken a complete pounding from angry fans who are disgusted at how it is such as lazy game. And they would be right, because this game looks very dated sprite wise, and looks worse than some games from over half a decade ago. And, to make matters worse, this isn't even out yet.

Anyway, the characters are a mash of fighters from different Capcom fighting games, such as Street Fighter 3, Darkstalkers, Red Earth, Street Fighter 2 and even Capcom Fighting All Stars (Ingrid is in the game)

The game has the same controls as any other Street Fighter game, but the main feature is quite different. It is a tag team game with 2 fighters per team, the same as in something like Marvel Vs. Capcom. At the moment it is unknown if you can change fighters at any time.

The super bar system is, in my humble opinion, idiotic. Whilst grooves are still in the game (from the Capcom vs. SNK series) you can now no longer choose which groove you have, you get a chosen groove depending on which character you choose. So Guy has V-Ism/Custom Combos from Street Fighter Alpha 2 and 3. Didn't like V-Ism? Tough, you are going to have to learn it. Thankfully you can still do at least level 1 super combos (Like A groove in Capcom vs. SNK 2) as I have seen Sakura do this. (Sakura has the same super bar as Guy)

Low behold, Guy is in the game with his ancient Street Fighter Alpha sprite. He has the same moves and everything, and so there isn't much I can say. I'll tell you what, I'll put Guy's ending up when the game has been out for a while (if the game even has endings) And, with Playstation 2 and X Box conversions already announced, maybe these new versions will have extra characters like Cody and Sodom. Let's hope.

This game isn't released in the arcades yet so there have only been a few screenshots. Since I last saw the game more characters have been added, two for each game. (EG the Street Fighter 3 section has had Alex and Urien added) The Alpha section now also has Karin and Rose, so it seems unlikely that another Final Fight character will be in unless Capcom decided to add a few more fighters at the last minute.

There have been a few shots of Guy in action, on some stages. One of the stage must be based on Darkstalkers because it is very warped out. There is also one at a town, a railway station (if you squint enough you can JUST make out Hugo, check out the very bottom screen) and some sought of castle ruins, whilst another is in a busy street. What's great about this one is that Maki makes a cameo in the background! You can see that stage in the bottom game screenshot. Hopefully more stages will be added.

More updates on this game and the console conversions of it when they come in. As long as it's too do with Final Fight, you understand?
