About Lorelle....

To book Lorelle for your function: email or Ph 07 3368 1653

Lorelle has been studying Middle Eastern Dance since 1990 and teaching in Brisbane since 1997.  Starting out with The Academy of Middle Eastern Dance (AMED) in Brisbane in 1990, she continued her pursuit of this beautiful dance form in Tasmania and  then in London, where she learnt from Anne Ashcroft and renowned Egyptian teacher Suraya Hilal.

She commenced teaching in Brisbane in 1997 and is dedicated to continuously enhancing her dance skills by regularly attending  workshops  presented by national and international belly dance artists.  Over the years, Lorelle has attended workshops by Ragia Hassan, Yousry Sharif, Dr Mo Geddawi, Aida Noor, Aisha Ali, Denise Enan, Amaya, and Yasmina to name a few.

Lorelle’s dance style has an Egyptian flavour, a reflection of her love of Egyptian music and dance genres.

Lorelle can be seen dancing at restaurants in Brisbane every weekend, and also with AMED’s performing troupe, The Oasis Dancers, at various festivals and multicultural events. By day she works as a physiotherapist, specialising in Women’s Health.
