The El Caminos have been working recently on re-vamping the set list a bit. Just trying to add some new spice to the list. We think you'll like what we've done with it...check it out. www.rockmeelcaminos.com

Porcupine just recorded a bunch of demos that we intend to use as reference material to finish lyrics. Dave has a nice little Pro-Tools set up that we just started using to lay down some really quick demos. If anything turns out good enough for public consumption we'll get it up on Myspace.com/porcupineband as soon as we can. Other than that I really have no new news....stay tuned.

The El Caminos have been busy lately playing some really fun outdoor shows so far this summer. We just played Butterfest in Sparta, WI to an awesome crowd. It doesn't get much better than that for a cover band for cripes sake.

Porcupine has a few shows coming up as well. Check out myspace.com/porcupineband for more details on the shows. Don't forget to say hello and sign up for our email list. We've recently been finishing some vocals and doing some rough mixes of some demos too. Hopefully we'll have them up on the myspace site asap!

The El Caminos just put up an updated website! Check it out at: www.rockmeelcaminos.com - we also have a big New Years Eve show coming up in La Crosse at John's Bar - Downtown on Third Street!! Come out and have some fun with us - we have been working up some new covers to throw out at you!! Some really fun stuff to get you all hopped up and shit!!

The other band now has a name - PORCUPINE - we finally decided to get something going and quit screwing around with a name!! So there it is and we're happy!! Check out www.myspace.com/porcupineband - and find out what the scoop is!! We just started recording a three song EP with Brandon and Lorenzo at Natural Recording Studios here in La Crosse. Dave Reinders is helping us out on bass duties for now and maybe we'll talk him into being a permanent fixture in Porcupine -we'll see. We've layed down drums, bass and two guitar tracks so far. We'll be doing some more tracking in the next couple weeks and hopefully get it finished to hand out at the show we scheduled at the 400 Bar in Mpls on February 11th!! We'll be opening for The Mood Swings and The Missing Numbers - it's TMN's CD release show!! Should be a blast!!

See you there at either show!!

The El Caminos cover band I'm playing in with Mark, Jason and James has been busy lately. Doing all sorts of show this month including a couple of trips into Iowa. This weekend we're playing a private party and next Friday, September 30th we'll be opening up Oktoberfest here in La Crosse at The 324 Live!

Still working with Casey Virock. We've been asked to play a few shows in the coming months but feeling that we are not quite ready for that at this point. We also have some studio time booked in October and not even sure with we'll be ready for that?

In the meantime check this out: www.myspace.com/jeffreybahr

Mark, Casey and I have been writing frantically and have about 8 tunes in different stages of being finished. We now are gearing up to get into the studio in the next couple of months most likely to record and EP of some sort. Not sure where we'll do the recording thought at this point. We've been talking about doing a song or two at a couple different places to test the water. I'll add that info when we get it nailed down.

Just talked with Brett Johnson the other day. Things are going great for him right now. He's got another tour in the works for this fall with Atmosphere. Things are starting to gather steam for Atmosphere right now. Selling out clubs all over the U.S. Brett is also working on another project called Rocketman. You can read more about all this at these places: www.bluewormrecords.com - or - www.rhymesayers.com
You should check those places out now.

Casanatra have finished mixes on their new EP, "Primo Impacto". I'm already stoked to hear it. I've heard they are shooting to release it later this summer/early fall timeframe: www.casanatra.com

Casey and I have asked Mark to join our project now and help us finish writing some tunes. He has accepted our offer (after some negotiations) and we've been writing like madmen. We've started out by revamping a few old Spacebike tunes to warm up with. Along with those, we have the beginnings of about 8 other songs right now. There is no name for this project at this point. I'll keep any progress posted here.

Time for another short update: We played the last TCP show a couple of weeks ago. We had a blast but were pretty sad too. I'd like to thank everyone that came out to support us for our last show. I really appreciate it.

On with the show...I have been working hard with Casey (Virock -guitarist/vocalist) to find a bassist that works for our little "project". We're shooting to make it into a three-piece for now and get things rolling. We have tons of song ideas that we really want to share - just need to find that right person for the job. Hopefully it'll happen soon.

Thanks for reading.

The Cordova Project will play our last show on April 30th right here in La Crosse at the 324 Club on Jay Street. I am looking forward to getting out and playing some original music, even if it is the last time these tunes will be played for anyone in a live setting. It'll be an emotional night but we'll make it through...

www.thecordova project.com

Mark, Jason and I took some time the last few weeks to work with a good friend, Casey Virock (Space Bike/Dream 13), on writing some music. We came up with some tunes that seemed promising but we also realized that our heads were in different places and it just wasn't going to work out in the long run. So we parted ways.

Casey did ask me to continue making some music with him and we may have found another person or two to complete a different lineup. We'll see what happens as we go along.

The El Caminos keep booking some great shows too. We intend to keep the wheels rolling on this rock machine. Stay tuned here: www.rockmeelcaminos.com

On the former Remover guys: Brett is on the road with Atmosphere. I'm so proud of him. Check it out: www.rhymesayers.com or www.myspace.com/brettjohnson

Jer and Dennis have just completed the next Casanatra EP. www.casanatra.com
Thanks for reading.
