The dates for the Morley Battle of the Bands has been moved back to the 1st weekend of November. It will take place on the Saturday and Sunday with a launch party on the Friday. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 26th June, 2002 For those of you who turned up to the Carnival on Saturday I hope your ears have stopped ringing, and if they have its just in time to go to the Primrose Pub this Friday to see MOJ play yet again. Pretty soon pics will be online of the Carnival playing along side Porcelin so keep checking the pics page. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12th June, 2002 Not only are England through to the last 16 of the World Cup, but also the application forms for the Morley Battle of the Bands are available. All applying bands must be local to the Morley area and between the age of 13 to 21. You can print off the application form from the link given, fill it in and get it back to Councillor Jane Arnott as soon as possible. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3rd June, 2002 After a few weeks as a 3-piece the band now re-gains its original line-up. Starkey has rejoined Mizkarrage and the band are bigger and stronger then they were before he exit. The gig this Sat at the Lion in Casstleford is set to be among the best the band has played with new songs popping up and Porcelain playing the Support. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1st June, 2002 Due to some sort of circumstances that we don't actually know about, the Mizkarrage gig at the Highwood Hotel has had to be cancelled. But don't fret, the guys will be playing the Lion Pub in Castleford on Sat 8th. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 14th May, 2002 Ok news not just to the fans but to the bands as well. Mizkarrage of Justice are working in conjunction with Jane Arnott and Dave Cousins of the Morley Council, along side Porcelain and Esclavage, to organise a HUGE Battle of the bands to take place in Morley between any band that wises to join. The Battle is pencilled in to take place on the last weekend of September. However this Battle can not go ahead unless we have bands interested. If there are any bands local to Morley reading this that are interested then please ring Paul Mathews (0113 2523317) or contact Jane Arnott (0113 2381798) and show your interest. The prize for winning the Battle is yet to be arranged but we can guarantee will be well worth while winning. Thank you for reading and please show your interest if your a local band. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3rd May, 2002 Well, the guys first appearance as a 3-piece, and it was amazing, playing to a half full Josephs Well, they guys showed that their set back was not going to effect the music. A couple of new songs added aswell. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 30th April, 2002 Well a disastrous moment in Mizkarrage History, Starkey has decided that the band is getting too much for him. A levels building up and constant pressure of gigs and practice proved too much and has left the band. He will be sorely missed by the fans and even more so by the band. MOJ will go on as a 3 piece with Bev taking to vocalist position, and will still be playing Josephs Well on Thursday 2nd May which I hope you all attend. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20th April, 2002 The Battle is over and I think its fair to MOJ brought the place to the ground. However due to the unusual voting system it seems that the band who brought the most people with them will win. Oh well at least the onslaught of Mizkarrage has been brought to the peaceful climbs of Harrogate. It contains a preview of both Neverland and You Disgust Us All. 2 of the best loved tracks from the No Justice EP. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4th April, 2002 MOJ Guitarists Bev and Starkey have just come out of the studio after completing their long awaited Solo Project. The album titled Swords in the Sunset features The MOJ classic Neverland among many acoustic tracks they have written between them. Close friend and Saxophonist Jenny Moody also appears on the album. As Mizkarrage prepare for their next gig at Woodkirk on the 30th March, it may also be a good time to say that on that date the new line of MOJ merchandise will be available. MOJ Hoodies will be available to buy aswell as the No Justice EP. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 6th March, 2002 Fast approaching is Mizkarrage's first gig at the Primrose Pub in Leeds. Thedate is Friday the 8th March, and the band will be playing around 9pm. Hope to see all the fans there for another excelent Onslaught of Metal. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1st March, 2002 Yet another gig lined up for the Mizkarrage boys, this time a bit more further a field at the Revival Club in Halifax.
