Bio
Red Letter Days is a four piece melodic rock band
from Gilroy, CA. The members Mark, vocals/guitar, Joey,
vocals/bass, Wade, drums, Tom, guitar/effects & synth
formed in 2002 as "Rise..." for their first year and
released a seven track EP called "in with the new".
"Rise..." became "Red Letter Days" due to legalities
in 2003. Their style is very hard to describe, with
influences from Foo Fighters to Deftones to the Beatles;
the sound ranges from new metal guitars, to grunge power
chords, to spacey 60's influenced sound, to infectious
vocal melodies, and touches on a variety of styles from
all over. The band members grew up together and toured
in a former band called "Pyracy" with such names as
Papa Roach, Salmon, and Insolence. After a year break
from "Pyracy", the remaining members got together and
wrote new, more diverse and eclectic material. In early
2003 they appeared on Santa Cruz's KMBY radio for the
acoustic breakfast, promoted on various college radio
stations such as CSUMB's Trainwreck, and have been playing
at various clubs in California to push their sound.
Red Letter Days will soon be going into Final Mix Studios,
Campbell, CA, to record new material which will be released
in late November. The band members have a deep love
for music and find friends in anyone who appreciates
music. They are venturing to gain a loyal fan base,
get signed and spread the sound everywhere they can.
