EVENTS-

To: All Bands and Local Scene supporters:

There is one thing we would like to say about OUR scene; your's, our's, everyone's. It will progress through all of the bands working together as one. Problems with recent shows caused some tension between bands. We have no hard feelings against anyone and will play shows with anybody willing to play, but we all must work together and understand each other with all egos aside. We will all become succesfull and have fun when bands stop playing for egotistic and selfish reasons. This comes about because a friend of ours described the bay area rock scene to us and said "most of the bands think they are the hottest shit, and that is what makes the bay area scene not profitable and not fun for bands and fans involved." The bay area music scene will be the hottest scene again once everyone unites, more clubs will open again and all will be well. We ALL work hard for the same goals, expression and progress. Its music, not a popularity show. Email with you comments: risemanager@cs.com

Contact us at risemanager@cs.com if you or somebody you know has a band that wants to get some more shows scheduled. The only way the local scene can grow is if we unite.

PAST EVENTS-
Oct. 9th Alameda Roosters Roadhouse for the "B.O.B" WorldFolk Foundation Battle of the bands. This show was very successful, our score will be posted in e few days, but enjoy some pics by our photographer nikki. Thank you to Sharon and Roddy from the Worldfolk foundation for puting on this event and the bands Gelfling, Scarrd Surface, and Seventh Season for their support and for putting on a great show. Rico, Carlos, Leia, and Nikki, we love you guys, thank you.

Oct. 3rd Gilroy Gaslighter Featuring: Savage Machine, Bound to Break, and Nominal. The bands rock hard and put on some very strong performances. Thank you to Savage Machine for getting everything set up, Bound to Break for getting in the line up at the last minute, and Nominal for just rocking and proving that they are not emo:).

Hollister CA show was a good show. We played at the underground music club, Felony 1. We would like to thank our friends in Nominal for setting up the show, Expose the Flaw for headlining and for the people at Felony 1 for having us. We always love watching Nominal, they rock! Felony 1 is a cool club but it gets sooooo hot in there. We look forward to getting more shows at this club in the near future.

All we can say about the Aug 15th show is thank you. We want to thank everyone who showed, everyone for the support and especially for singing along with our songs, it was beautiful and we will never forget it. We want to thank Elisium for getting things together on such short notice and rocking with their new drummer, Bound to Break for rocking and being awesome, Savage Machine for driving 2hrs to come to Gilroy and putting on a great show, and last but not least Daisho for the great set to close out the show.

We filmed our set on South Valley Sounds and the crew @ CMAP did such an awesome job. We debuted our new song "Get through" and played some new songs that will be on our upcoming E.P. This show will air on Channel 20, Gilroy/Hollister/San Juan Bautista/ect.,this is the schedule:

Sat. July 31st---------- airing @ 8:30p
Sun. Aug. 1st---------- airing @ 10:30p
Mon. Aug 2nd--------- airing @ 7:30p
Wed. Aug 4th---------- airing @ 2:30p
Fri. Aug 6th------------ airing @ 9:00p

We are going to be getting DVD's of our performance that will be for sale on our Merch page and at our shows. Much thanks to the CMAP staff for such a great recording.

Sat. July 10th was huge. Originally it was going to be a birthday party for Rico's(Elisium) brother and Rory, but it turned into an event. There were over 300 people packed on their family's ranch. Elisium played and started the party, we then performed, and Freedom A.D. rocked us home. After the music the party kept on going. It got so packed that a few cops couldn't help; after 200 people riot control would be called in but Gilroy doesn't have riot control, so they called in the whole force to break the party up. We had a hell of a time and we want to thank Rico, his brother and his family for the awesome time.

June 8th was a great show. The Aptos Club was great to us and all of the bands kicked ass. Nominal, Pro-Choice and the Coathangers, and Daisho were solid and played awesome. Thanks to Pro-Choice again for the mics. But the night would have been nothing without Durge Records. Thanks you Dutch, we really appreciated the show set-up and the venue. And our friends that came for us, muchas muchas gracias, especially Brandy L., Nicole J., Areselli, Isabel, Jennifer, Kevin (Mid-Cal), Nick, Monica, and Jessy for the pics (if we forgot someone please forgive us, you will be on our CD thanx).

The show on May 20th was a fun show to play. We shared the stage with some kick-ass bands. Impure did not play the show cause of their parting, but we did get our friends in Keeping Distance to take their spot. Although some minor technical problems with some equipment, we got to display our new banner, thanks to Tom, and some new fx toys. We want to thank everyone who showed up, you guys are the ones that keep us going.

The April Fools show was huge! Two-Hundred and eighteen people packed into the gaslighter to keep local music alive. A big thanks to everyone who showed up, we appreciate your support. And a shout out to all of the bands for the endless promotion. If we continue to work together anything is possible!
