Fruits Basket is the creation of one Natsuki Takaya. The anime is based off the very popular Manga from Japan, " Fruits Basket" This anime series has 26 animated episodes ( the series stops in the middle of the manga series. )
This year, (2004) Tokyo Pop has started selling the translated Fruits Basket manga. Go check it out. It's very much like the anime.
Fruits Basket is a silly, sweet drama about a young girl whom comes to live with three guys. If that's not bad enough, she talks a lot to her dead mother and has two bet friends that think the world of her and would hurt anyone who lays a hand on her. There's more too! She has to keep a secret from everyone. The three guys and their family that she sees everyday transform into an animal of the zodiac when hugged my the opposite gender!
