1/20/04: Yes, yes, yes. No new comics. It sucks, yes. That it does. I just need to find some good ideas that'll be easy to pull... and no, don't send me suggestions.
Anyway, I'm going to be at Ohayocon from the 22nd to the 25th, along with the rest of the core members of the CCA. We got two panels on Saturday, and we'll be cosplaying as DW4 characters, me as Pang Tong. If you're there, say hello.
Also, if you don't want this to happen again, then please help out the Advent Plea. Help us tell Square Enix no more teen idols... please.
10/27/03: Okay... let's go down the list:
First, you can blame Steam for delaying the next comic, not all of it, but it's the biggest reason. I think I'll make a comic about that.
Second, the CCA is no longer with Maiden Masher, it just didn't work out. So now we're at our new board over at Ccacomics.Com. And yeah, I'm still running it.
Third, to avoid making this my own rant page, I've gotten myself a LiveJournal. Go give it a look.
Aside from that, I just cleaned up a few things here and there. Yes, you'll have your comic, just let me worry about my own life. Okay? Thanks.
7/26/03: Several things to report, the first being that the CCA is trying an improv comic again, rather two of them. After some confusion, I'm working on Rolento vs. Texas, and my first part is already done. Kind of an easy swipe, but hey.
Second bit is that the CCA has finally moved out of EZBoard and has hooked up with the old Fighters Generation board to form a new messageboard, with real software. I'm an admin, so I gotta keep everyone in line. Sure gets a hell of a lot more traffic then the old board. I want to thank Shin Iori Yagami, Lord Nite, and the rest for setting it all up.
And yes, you'll get the Counter-Strike comic, alright?
5/5/03: At long damn last, Sephiroth Vs. Half-Life is done! Go see it, now!
Next time, I'm going to do something that won't end up so long winded... gotta love those model viewers. Now if someone made one that allowed you to pose CS models holding their guns... oh man...
I think I may work on providing myself my own personal page now that this long chapter of my life is at an end. Just replacing one project with another...
4/2/03: HA! 0WN3D!
The fact that the Square Enix merger took place on April 1st was an opportunity too good to pass up. Having thought about it for a while, I took it up with Gil, he liked it, and then got G-Man to go along with it. The letter is from LucasArts, edited appropriately. And the name Ari P. Lofos... well, rearrange the letters and you get "APRIL FOO'S" as Mr. T would say (okay, I forgot the last L...).
But hey, those of you who came to my defense, thanks for the thought. Bastard thing to do? Oh, I don't know. But then, people should know better then to look at a game site at face value on April 1st.
But hey, I hope that Square Enix has a bright future and puts out more great games. And if they want to do a massive Square vs. Enix game... oh who am I kidding. Square Enix, if you're reading this...
DO IT! You'll know we'll buy it! Just don't screw it up! And no more teen idols!
The comic is still plodding along. I need a week or two for myself, haven't had any real relaxation time in over two years. Perhaps my old girlfriend is right, work is burning me out...
3/21/03: Yeah, it's been a bit, and I am working on the comic. There's just these things call "work", "paying bills", "finding a new place to live", and so on...
But what I really want to talk about is something I came across while wandering around the net, looking at sites I haven't seen in a while, etc. etc. That is SickosOnParade.com. Now, for those of you who don't know, SOP.Com is a game-based humor site with a silight bent to the purile (but in a good way). The thing here is that the webmasters of this site have some rather... negative opinions on Sephiroth. Now, a good number of Seph fans out there felt the need to e-mail them complaints and the like. Allright, now for any of you who did that, or feel the need to do that with this or anything similar, I have a message that I want you all to hear:
STOP DOING THAT YOU MORONS!
For god's sake... I mean, Seph, while we dig him and all, is a fictional character for one. He has no more honor or pride to defend then your telephone or silverware. Second, the opnions of others on such trival matters, as long as they can not harm another real person, are not the concerns of you or anyone else. It's called Free Will, deal with it. Third, when you send e-mail to people on subjects like this, you make yourself look like a bigger idiot then the folks on my Hate Mail page. And you sure in hell arn't helping anyone else who share your side. And fourth, you're just giving these people what they want.
You may not like what they say... but it's their problem, not yours. There are bigger and far better things to get worked up over... like an illiterate rich-boy Texas yahoo who's going around blowing things up and pissing off half the world so he can feel like a big man. That's far more deserving of action then someone's opinion of a video game character.
Quit making yourself and others look like idiots. That's the lesson for the day.
10/7/02: Just updated the Fan and Hate mail pages. With that in mind, I really want to apologize to everyone, fan and otherwise alike, who attempted to E-Mail me with my old address after I switched to DSL. I'm really sorry to everyone about that. Please try again if you wish.
Also, I should mention that Terri DiSisto was unmasked, turned out to be one David DiAmato, was tried for his mailbombing, and is currently doing time in federal prison. Net kookery does not pay kids.
And comics should come once I find a stable download for the Half-Life patches. 84 Megs... I ought to pay for the FilePlanet account...
9/30/02:
One year, eight months, six days.
God damn, I can be a lazy bastard. What's been keeping me you ask? Well let's form a list in cronological order:
Started A+ training, begain working at a cheap hotel, attemptted to start an anime convention, got a copy of PSP5, virus nails hard drive, restored, lost acess to Usenet, redecorated bedroom, got my A+, watched 3000 people die on TV, got held up at my job, found a new tech job, got a PS2, played MGS2, took part in a cosplay as Vincent, started work on new comic, got JKII, got to accept the Origins Award for Game of the Year for Hackmaster (coolest thing to happen to me at a con yet), got a new system, was now able to play JKII, had my explorer corrupted by an HTML editor, got WinXP, got Go Live (all the thanks in the world to Gilgamesh), started working on this, and much more...
Oh, and Lance Bass!?!
Anyway, the whole site has been redesigned. A lot cleaner and hopefully frendlier. Expect just about every section to get a facelift and whatnot in the next week. Also, I'm giving you a three page preview of Sephiroth vs. Half-Life! This one is going to be long, and the 60+ meg patches are not helping it come any faster.
Once that's done, who the hell knows.
But I won't keep you waiting like this again... I hope.
1/24/01: Hey kids. Several things to mention. First, the remains of Everyone Vs. Terri DiSisto are now up in the Comics section. I think you'll end up seeing why I gave up on that little idea. Also, some new fan mail, and the announcement of my next comic after Eldritch, Sephiroth vs. Half-Life!
One other thing that'll be coming up in the future is a brand new crossover comic page from me, Soth Speaks. Not a comic, but a rant page featuring my views on current trends and issues in the scene. It won't be nice, but some of this stuff has gotta get out.
And to close this update, I receved my first award! Vanessa gave it to me. I had to shrink it, but here it is. Thanks, Vanessa.
1/8/01: I'm back in action! First off, we got a huge new redesign, with everything in nice conveient sections. Also the brand new Hate Mail section! Only two messages for now, but knowing the net, it'll fill up nicely. Also some new Fan Mail as well. Also it looks like that Angelfire has finnaly updated my account as well, I now have 50 megs to play with!
What else? Well, it turns out that it wasn't Ameritech's fault for my Usenet woes, but rather Netscape. So now I've moved to IE and Outlook full time now. I enjoyed Netscape while it was still a decent browser, but now...
The remains of Terri will get posted up, don't worry about that. Then it's on to Andy, and we'll see what happens then.
And thanks to everyone who voted for me. Hopefully I'll have a nice new award gif to place on the page somewhere.
