Care during the journey

Most aeroplanes are air-conditioned and can be quite cool, even whilst travelling to a hot country. Pack some extra clothing in your hand luggage in case you feel cold (e.g. socks, jumpers).

Make sure you pack your medication (e.g. painkillers, penicillin, folic acid, etc.) in your hand luggage and have easy access to it.

If your journey is long you should walk about a little or gently move your limbs. Sitting for long periods of time is not advisable because it slows down the circulation.

Whilst in flight or in-between flights, remember to drink extra fluids, BUT limit your alcohol intake as an excess can result in dehydration.
