(NOTE: Because this is a repaint, this is not a full-blown review. This mainly covers any changes made to the mold and the color scheme, and merely compares it to Energon Arcee. For a review on the mold itself, read the review of Energon Arcee here.)
Like the other scouts
from previous lines redecoed for the Target Exclusive Scout assortment,
Arcee has a pretty subdued color scheme to fit them in a little
more with the movie. Instead of the somewhat bright colors Arcee is usually
decked out in, this time she's mostly blue, black, and gray. It works exceedingly
well, and quite honestly looks gorgeous. The dark glittery blue is a very
attractive shade, and the silver and gray work as great contrast colors.
The only color I'm not too fond of in the mix is the transparent brownish
purple-- it's just an ugly shade and really doesn't fit with her other
colors at all, even if it doesn't outright clash with them. Making it a
dark transparent blue probably would have fit considerably better.
No mold changes have
been made to Arcee.
The Target Exclusive
Scout Arcee figure has a great set of colors, and is one of the best-looking
out of the assortment. I'd rate this figure below the Botcon exclusive
Flamewar,
at about the same level as Flareup, but above
Energon Arcee and the Botcon exclusive Chromia.
