Personal Information
Dorvan grew up on Kronos. His early years were to an extent dominated by his mother who was half human. He saw little of his father who was away most of the time. Subsequently, he decided he wished to pursue a Starfleet career and he was disowned by his father who felt that a klingons place was serving the Empire .
Starfleet Record
He joined the Academy, intent on making his father proud of him and in order to elicit some recognition. After a couple of years, he became fed up with Academy life despite making a name as a promising cadet and joined up with the Maquis whilst on academy maneuvers, in effect defecting. He served with the Maquis for a few years but again became disillusioned with what he saw as terrorist activities (which were not honourable) as they were very much sneak attacks. He stole a Maquis Raider and found his way back to Earth where he was imprisoned for his defection. He served his prison sentence, being on his best behaviour and was allowed to continue his career in the Academy on the personal recommendation of Admiral Kenally who was a friend of Dorvan's mother. He passed through the Academy and for the last six years has served aboard starships.
Career Information
First posting - Security Officer aboard USS Majestic. Was then transferred to USS London where again he served as a security officer. Felt unfulfilled and wished to extend himself, ever thoughtful of his past and less than perfect record. Sought transfer to USS Pacifica and served in Security. Survived destruction of USS Pacifica and then served on USS Atlantis as second in command of engineering. Showed promise and has now been transferred to current position as Chief of Engineering onboard USS Illiad.
