Security Office - Deck 5
The Security Office on Deck 5 is the domain of Security Chief and Iliad's First Officer, Commander Nathan Hunter. Commander Hunter is assisted by Lieutenant Commander Scott Davis who has a number of responsibilities whilst Commander Hunter is serving as First Officer.
The Security Office is of paramount
importance being on Deck 5, close enough to the main hub of the ship. The office is
comparatively small, but no more so than for example the office of the Chief
Engineer or Chief Medical Officer. By the very nature of the office and the Officers
duties the room is rarely staffed by more than one Officer at any time. 
Most systems can be accessed by the Security Chief via the Consoles on the desk and along the rear wall. Most systems can be blocked or shut down during ship wide emergencies using Command level computer codes. No ship operations however can be accessed. The security computer systems are linked constantly to Starfleet Command so that the Security Chief is constantly up to date with security alerts throughout the Federation.
The Security Office is accessed directly off the main corridor. Adjacent to the doors are video screens, the rest of the walls are filled with computer consoles. There is one door off the Security Office leading to two holding cells. These are not however designed to hold anyone for more than a couple of hours, used primarily to hold persons who are being questioned.
