Sick Bay - Deck 12
As befits one of the most up to date and modern starships, no expense was spared in fitting out the sickbay on USS Iliad which is situated on deck 12.
Sickbay is staffed by Chief Medical Officer
Lieutenant Commander Jacob Serren, Assistant Medical Officer Ensign Bryan Reed and
Chief Nurse, Ensign Erin Flannery. Ships Captain, Ilya Karasov is also by profession
a Doctor. True to their nature, Doctors generally make bad patients! Another often
but reluctant visitor is Executive Officer Commander Nathan Hunter. Nathan is also
Chief of Security and a number of his training exercises are carried out in the gym. It
is usually just after these sessions come to an end that there is the greatest call
upon the staff of the Sickbay. 
The primary sickbay is in fact just one section of a much larger section of rooms. In its centre is the central biobed which can be seen in the above picture. Scattered around the walls of the main area are numerous work stations which use computer interfaces and equipment. Against the wall are at least four other biobeds. they are best reserved in advance.
There is also on Deck 12 a secondary sickbay which offers similar facilities. This is shown in the picture to the right.
Separate from the main sickbay is the main patient ward where longer term medical problems are resolved, the intensive care unit, the trauma stasis unit and the dedicated surgery suite. Lieutenant Commander Serren also has his own separate office within the complex of suites.
