But anyway: Jim gets a place on the first space colony Santa Maria, but they have to spend two years getting used to it on Earth first, and then they get a few months off prior to launch. It's basically character-driven, and mostly in letter-format. Oh, and there are sexual references and lots of swearing, so, you know... be warned.

right. if you get bored of the letter format, then just read the prologue and chapter one then ten to the end. maybe three and four, just because I like the letter at the end of three. um. right. ten is the interlude, hiatus, whatever, just prior to launch. it has the sex scenes. and a lot of travelling. and some discussion and stuff. it probably only needs tweaked a bit to make a short story. I think, anyway.
