Greetings fellow computer enthusiasts!  I bid you welcome!

Amy's Corner is not to be a place to receive help with computer problems; for help - ask PuterGeek.  This will be, I hope, a place where you and myself can commiserate and cry and laugh and share our experiences with the wonderful thing called a computer.

My goal is to share stories of the wonders and unfortunately, the horrors we all go through when working/playing on our computers.

Believe it or not, we all go through the same thing.  No one just goes out, buys a computer, takes it home, and immediately knows what the heck they are doing.  It takes time and effort (more effort for some of us!) to become comfortable with our computers and once that occurs, to find out how much fun they can be.  There are SO MANY things we are able to do and the list gets bigger every passing day.

While reading/browsing through Amy's Corner, you'll probably say to yourself  "Oh my gosh, she did that?" and "Wow, the same thing happened to me!".

I plan to have sections on things pertaining to computers. (DUH!)  I'll mention software I can't live without, software I'd like to start a bonfire with, tips on the Web, things I do that fubar my system that will hopefully warn you not to do the same, stuff that frustrates the heck out of me, and stuff that gets me so excited that I forget to fix dinner until 1am in the morning.  (Don't worry, Peter knows how to cook better than I do so he won't starve.) 

I hope everyone enjoys reading Amy's Corner and please let me know how I'm doing.  Just send me an email and let me know.  Please be gentle!  

And when you're reading my pages, remember two things: 1. Opinions are like butts, everyone has one, and 2. We're all in this to have fun!  8-)

P.S.  I'm warning all of you now, I have a strange sense of humor and I'll try to tone it down.  Okee dokee hokee pokee?
