>>>Seen these things parked at crime scenes and FBI offices. They look pretty straightforward, nothing to make you figure that it's got a fragging turbocharger under the hood. Anyone seen one of these puppies in pursuit?<<< - Plastic Rat

>>>Yeah, saw one once chasing a Yamaha Rapier down the California Highway...
Biker wiped out trying to zig-zag at 180 or so.
Come to find out, the GS400SR does have a weakness.
A bike slamming into the front end at nearly 200.<<< -Stumps

>>>This is defiantly a pursuit model or sporty family car. While it may be fast it doesn’t work well under any reasonable load. Be that camping gear, combat gear, or heavier metahumans.<<< – Laughlyn

>>> That’s true an old chummer of mine Alec stole one of these and decided that a joyride was in order. Picked up a trio of friends, and discovered a slight problem with over loading. Seems between the armor and the trog trio it lost a tierod turning into an ally. Alec likes his new legs better anyhow. Moral of this story? Obey the recalls. <<< - Lindt

>>> What recalls Omae, this thing was designed for the FBI, how many FBI agents are trolls, and even then, would u find four in one car.? I spoke with the design crew when it was up for testing and it seems this was the base package, they had a $120,000 variant with more power and an assortment of toys shadowrunners would drool over but they decided to put the base package forward and go into production either way of the FBI decision.<<< - Deepthroat

LEXUS GS400SR

When the UCAS FBI grew tired of its aging fleet of Custom Ford Americars, the call went out to car makers to provide them with a reasonably priced, sedan with enough punch to conduct pursuit and enough armor to do so in safety. Lexus dug out the blueprints for the GS400, a design that was quite popular in the 1990's - 2000 era, Lexus modified the chassis, added some armor modifications and made the car rigable.

The car lost the bid, it however became a Quite popular item amongst Corp Execs and higher ups in security / law enforcement who wanted a car that had enough room to pick up the kids from school, enough power to have some fun on the weekends, and enough armor to do so in safety in the harsh world of 2063.

The car is also known to be used by the undercover divisions of several law enforcement agencies due to its all round design, and apparently is quite a favored vehicle for those who live outside the law for it can deflect all but the most determined weapons fire.
