MARRIETTE
HARTLY
"All
Our Yesterdays"
A
statuesque red-headed Goddess, Mariette Hartly has the kind of femininity that
attracts men on a primal level. It was fitting that her
"Star Trek" episode was set on a primeval ice planet.
Exiled to the frozen wasteland by a jilted King, Zarabeth was sentenced
to spend her life alone. Her solemn eternity was interrupted by Spock and a very sick
McCoy. They had traveled through
time by mistake thousands of years, as she had, to the primal past of her
planet. They had not been prepared
for the journey and as such were slowly regressing in their personalities to
their own primal heritage. Spock
was showing signs of emotion and was falling hard for the forlorn Zarabeth.
As McCoy recuperated, Spock was rapidly giving up hope of a rescue or
otherwise getting back to the ship. McCoy
finally reaches him, storming out of the cave and into the blizzard seeking a
way home. The parting of Spock and Zarabeth is bittersweet.
Miss Hartly also appeared in the most bittersweet episode of "The
Twilight Zone" with Robert Lansing entitled, "The Long Morrow".
Robert Lansing also guest starred on an episode of "Star Trek" as Gary
Seven with Top Ten Honorable Mention nominee Teri Garr in "Assignment
Earth". Marriette Hartly is the winner of an Emmy Award for a guest starring
performance in 1979 on the television show, "The Incredible
Hulk." One of the real glamorous stars of Hollywood, Marriette
Hartly blooms like a rose in role after role as a veteran actress of the stage, television,
and film.
