Khusrau raen suhaag
ki, jaagi pi ke sung, Khusrau (the bride) spends
the eve of her wedding
Bae gaye baalam, bae
gaye nadia kinaar, He has crossed, the beloved
has crossed, Khusrau aesee peet
kar, jaisay hindu joye, Khusrau, what you need
to do is,
Khusrau darya prem
ka, ulti wa ki dhaar, Oh Khusrau, the river of
love Bhai ray malla jo hum
kon paar utaar, Oh, brother oarsman, if
you let me cross the river, Sej wo sooni dekh ke
rovun main din raen, Day and night, I see an
empty bed, and cry Kheer pakayi jatan
say, aur charkha diya jalaa, You prepared the kheer
