The Third Day
Genesis 1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered
together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
The land raised and the waters flowed off the raising land and gathered
in the low area. Also the fountains of the deep would have
been formed during this action. The hills made were probably very low,
because later God commanded that man and the animals multiply and fill
the whole earth. For this same reason, there was probably mostly land
on the surface, with a small sea; most of the water we have today would
have been below the land in the fountains of the deep.
Genesis 1:10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering
together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the
herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind,
whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
The Earth was filled with all the types of plants and they would only
produce seed of their own kind, so a banana tree would never produce
anything other than a banana tree. Yes, there will be different types
of banana trees produced, but still they will be BANANA trees.
Genesis 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding
seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in
itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:13 And the evening and the morning were the
third day.
