Cricket Cartoons

A note about the cartoons: all of these are two or three years old, mostly the product of a period when, living in Australia, I had scarcely seen New Zealand play, so a lot was left to imagination - and poor drawing skills.

'Wills Cup'
Nash missed the Wills Mini World Cup in 1998 with a back injury - but didn't miss much.

'Boxing Day Test'
New Zealand defeated India in the 1998 Boxing Day Test in which Dion Nash made his highest Test score of 89 not out.

'One-Day Series'
When Stephen Fleming was injured, Dion Nash took over as one-day captain in the 1998-1999 home series against India.

'A Drawn-Out Loss'
New Zealand, under Nash's captaincy, slowly lost their 1999 Test series against the South Africans 1-0.

'World Cup 1999'
The Black Caps make the semi-finals of the 1999 World Cup in England - and Kit realises that her drawings are more recognisable if she uses reference pictures!

'Sweet Victory'
It came down to the last innings of the last Test, but New Zealand won the 1999 Test series in England including their first-ever Test win at Lords.
