Nash in 1996
June 26
Nash's contract with Middlesex was terminated and he returned
to New Zealand. Nash had played only one or two games for
Middlesex in his second year, owing to New Zealand's tour
of the West Indies and increasing trouble with his back injury.
His injury had not yet been diagnosed, and he departed amid
claims in the English media that his problem was in his head,
not his back.
