December - Nominated as one of the most popular Newcomer in Star Awards.

November - Screening of Jerry's second serial "Legend Of The Eight Immortals" .

October - Took part in the NKF show.Staged a play together with Christopher Lee,Florence Tan,Cynthia Koh,etc.Jerry was casted as one of the main role!

August - Screening of Jerry's debut serial "The New Adventure Of Wisely".

June - Jerry started filming his second serial "Legend Of The Eight Immortals".

March - Jerry starts filming his debut serial "The New Adventure Of Wisely"

February - Jerry came back to Singapore after fulfiling his 2 month National Service in Taiwan.

19th April 1997 - This is the night when Jerry was crowned the overall Male Champion of Star Search 1997
