Demon's Crest is a cool post-Super Ghouls and Ghosts side scroller. This time you're in control of a Demon and you're given much more freedom. It's a smooth game with a lot of appeal.

Graphics: (8/10) Demon's Crest looks really great. The monsters and backgrounds are all of high quality. And you get to fight some really cool looking monsters/demons. Also, when you go from level to level you go into a 3d flying mode where you can choose your next destination (pic on right --> ). Very cool.

Sound: (7/10) The sound is pretty awesome. The background music and ambience really add to the games mood. The other sound effects sound as they should.

Fun: (8/10) Demon's Crest is fun in a lot of ways. It combines a good amount of side-scroller action with character prgression and adventure. You have to collect different crests that give you different abilities. It's kinda like Mega Man in that you need certain abilities to beat certain levels. Thus giving organization to the level structure, but still giving the player total control. Very cool stuff.

Creativity: (7/10) It's a side scroller, but the setting and characters are unique and well-done. The differnt abilities you gain are really cool (you can morph into different type of demons with each new crest) and the freedome given is inspiring.

Multi-Player: Nope.

Errors: Make sure you're getting the best sound quality possible b/c if the ambience is off, it'll sound really bad.
