The Lost
Vikings games are some of the coolest puzzle games you'll find for snes.
They're cool b/c they mix a good amount of action with puzzle solving.
You're given 3 characters for each level (usually the 3 Viking brothers...).
Each has his own strengths and weaknesses (only one of the brothers can
actually fight enemies). You have to make wise decisions or risk getting
one of your characters killed.
Graphics: (6/10) The graphics are good.
They're standard snes graphics. Nothing special, but nothing less. As
your Vikings travel through time you get to see a lot of different settings,
and they've all been done nicely.
Sound: (7/10) Lost Vikings 2 has good sound.
There's always mood enhancing music playing and the sound effects are
all well done.
Fun: (8/10) Really, The Lost VIkings 2 is
a lot of fun. There are some new features that weren't present in the
original (you get some extra character and extrra abilities) but the gameplay
is about the same. All the levels are of a good size giving you a short
trial and reward system. I sugggest you save state at the beginning of
each level b/c if you lose a character, you lose the level.
Creativity: (8/10) Lost Vikings 2 is a very
inventive game. The way you have to combine your characters strengths
and make them work together really makes you think. Sometimes it gets
down to trial and error. New characters are added to this sequel (including
a Werewolf and a Dragon) and they add an extra spice.
Multi-Player:
No, sorry.
