Quite possibly
the best game for SNES! All of the nintendo Zelda fans were first in line
when this game was released. My brother bought this game for $50.00 at
our local Kay-Bee Toys store. And let me tell you, it was worth it!
Graphics: (9/10) Very nice. All the art in
this game was created with a very nice style. The towns, castles, forests,
caves, dungeons, and mountains are all brought to life in 16 bit heaven.
It's just a great looking game.
Sound: (9/10) Zelda has great sound! The
music is magical and ambience is present. At the start of the game you
can hear it raining outside. When you venture out the sound increases.
You can hear yourself slosh through knee high water. And your sword clinks
against enemies in battle. The sound even reacts to dialogue and situation.
Every sound effect has a certain spark to it that makes it uniquely Zelda.
Fun: (10/10) Even today not many games are
as fun as Zelda 3. The gameplay is open ended giving the you time to explore
your world and complete objective as you want to. The storyline is cool
and you really feel like you become part of it. Your player progresses
in strength throughout the game as he discovers, steals, and buys new
items that give him new powers (swimming, extra strength, warping). Everything
about Zelda 3 is fun!
Creativity: (8/10) A lot of thought was
put into every aspect of Zelda 3. If you beat a chicken with your sword
then a swarm of chickens attack you. You can visit a fourtune teller,
discover a ghost, talk to townspeople, and solve puzzles. Zelda 3 is swarming
with puzzles, but they are never too difficult.
Multi-Player:
Sorry, no multi-player in Zelda 3. Wouldn't that be fun?
Tips and Cheats: Game Winner's cheat
codes
Errors: Using Snes9x (ver.1.38), the only
problems I had were some jumpy frame rates and sometimes link would dissapear
for a second when fighting. Nothing serious.
