The latest vesion of Zsnes is predictably the best! The first game I tested was The Legend of Zelda and I was suprised at the sound quality. I also noticed that I got better framerates with Zsnes than Snes9x. Zsnes works hard and does a good job. I watched the intro to Zelda and Zsnes was able to draw the fog correctly and the sound seemed right-on.

Then I tried messing with the different video modes. I had a lot of trouble getting Zsnes to change video modes without crashing. This was a little annoying, but Snes9x crashes a deccent amount when I mess with its video modes also. Zsnes has some nice video modes and options. I was a little dissapointed with the framerates I got in 2xSal Mode (my favorite mode), but nothing's perfect.

Overall I was very impressed with this version of Zsnes. It's a great SNES emulator. If you already use Snes9x (or any other emulator) it's a good idea to have Zsnes to ensure compadibility with your favorite roms.
