The SWA is VERY interested in signing "Tuffguy" Joey Bravo. He is one of the hottest Independent Wrestling stars
who is now competing in the SECW along with WWF's 'Sir Mo'. Bravo also
competes in the AWF and is climbing the ladder in NDW.
"Tuffguy" Joey Bravo is signed for Mid-South Wrestling! Check the Mid-South
website for more info.
It will be interesting to see if The "Tuffguy" agrees to appear in the SWA and also if The Living Doll Michael Anthony's ego
would want a star of Bravo's caliber giving him competition. Or could it be that maybe Anthony is pulling for Bravo to be signed to
recruit him into the "Mid-South Mafia" which has been a leading force in the SWA for the past several years.
On behalf of the
entire SWA, we wish him the best of luck and a speedy recovery. Let's send him our
hopes that he is able to return to the ring and that his surgery is a sucess!
Michael Anthony's surgery went well and he is recovering and healing well. Anthony has renewed his
relationship with Mid-South Wrestling and while he is recovering from his surgery he will
be providing the play by play commentary for MSWA's shows.
Anthony wants to thank each and everyone who's written him with your wishes for a speedy
recovery and looks forward to getting back in the ring later in the year. The Living Doll
also invites everyone out to a Mid-South Wrestling show and meet him as well as such
southern legends as "Handsome" Jimmy Valiant and The Rock 'n' Roll Express' Ricky Morton.
The MSWA is currently in negotiations with "The Road Dogg" Jessie James of the WWF and
should have an announcement soon on his appearances.
Other Independent Wrestling Stars have shown an interest in competing in the SWA including:
Rated X,       Templeton Peck "The Manager Of Hardcore Champions",
"Outlaw" Jessie Garrett       and "Mr 500" Joe Rules, who was listed in Pro Wrestling Illustrated Magazine's Top 500 Wrestlers
In The World for 1998.
If you are an Independent Wrestler and would be interested in competing in the Southern Wrestling Alliance
