We attended the service on Sunday, Paul preached and Rev Mwakasungula translated into
M’chimbuku. |
We were treated very well, and received so many blessings! It was so amazing! We will always remember your loving kindness!
After the service we were given a tour of the Bell Tower. The church was built in 1910 and although well constructed it does need urgent maintenance. The congregation are busy with a project to put electrical lighting into the church, and to light the cross on the bell tower, which will be seen from miles around!

Going down ‘the hill’!
|
Headed for the Tanzania border. Spent the night just outside of Karongo at a camp site called Beach Chambers – S09.53.637 E033.55.625 – charged MK100 pppn.
At Beach Chambers, we met a great group in an overland truck, going South. Caught up with the latest exchange rates etc with them.
Now it is the B I G border crossing. We do not have our carnet yet, and are a bit concerned about getting into Tanzania with a TIP. What a wonderful crossing! It was such a surprise to us, and although it took two hours, it was without a doubt the best crossing we have yet made! Thanks to all the great customs and immigration officials!
Next stop … Tanzania!
