He's started to say "Ta" now. Sometimes it sounds more like "Da", or "Tat", but we know what he means! When he's in the mood, he'll start to hand something to us, and he'll say "Ta". He wants us to take it, say "Ta", then hand it back. He could do that for hours!
Of course, it doesn't matter if we're in the mood. If we try it and he's not interested, we just get a blank stare!
