KATELYNN By Kirsten T.
(First of the Katelynn series)

Jimmy climbed down from his horse and went to help Katelynn dismount, only to find that the horse had once again knelt down to allow it's riders to climb down.

Kid came walking out of the barn with his brother-in-law behind him. Glancing up form the list he was writing, he made that same mistake Jimmy has made earlier. "Honey, are you going to put an order in today."

Jeremiah's face turned pale. "That's not Lou."

ICE PRINCESS By Kirsten T.

Jimmy sat in the corner of her room watching Katelynn sleep. He had snuck up while Buck was having his dinner that Lou had kept warm for him. She looked so much like Lou. He couldn't help but wonder what his life would have been like if it had been he who had married Lou. He had thought that maybe he had a chance with Katelynn, but he had seen the looks pass between Buck and Katelynn.

IF THE NOOSE FITS By Kirsten T.

Kid looked over to Buck who was closer to the Hanging Tower. "Buck! The rope!"

One shot ripped the rope and Katelynn went crashing to the ground. Buck ran forward to help his wife. Although Katelynn had rope burns around her neck and wrists, she was alive and only slightly shaken. "Well, this lot are certainly off my Christmas Card list." Her voice was husky.

FIRE AND ICE By Kirsten T.

Buck looked down at his wife. She had fallen asleep. Carefully Buck picked his sleeping wife up and carried her up to their room while Jimmy opened the doors for him. Jimmy said goodnight to Buck and started to leave to go to his own room. As he got to the door he turned and watched Buck putting his wife to bed. Katelynn looked like a china doll, so pale and fragile. Jimmy tuned back to the door and went to bed.

GHOSTS AND DREAMS By Kirsten T.

The green-eyed Indian sat in front of the fire that was burning bright in the star less night. He remembered how on a night like this so many years ago, he and Katelynn had sat side by side listening to the legends that one of the elders would tell them. Now it was he who was telling the legends around the fire to the group of the children seated before him. Never in a million years had Curly thought that the legends that he would be telling would be about Katelynn. He had always thought that she would be right there beside him.

BOOK OF LOVE By Kirsten T.

"My grandfather told me that this used to be a Pony Express Station." Connor's eyes shone as he remembered the stories his grandfather used to tell him of the Pony Express riders. "Wild Bill Hickok and Buffalo Bill used to live here. I think grandfather said that his great great grandfather used to be an express rider as well."

Connor's wife Jordon looked unimpressed. She couldn't figure out why Connor's grandfather would leave an old express station to both of them. Although Jordon wasn't delighted at the thought of moving in, she was pleased to see Connor so happy. The house had four rooms obviously two had been built on for the children that had once lived here. They were painted in bright colours with pictures of circus creatures carefully painted on the walls. There was one room however that had appeared to have remained untouched.

NEVER JUDGE A BOOK  BY ITS COVER By Kirsten T.
(First story in the Amanda series)

Amanda locked the door and picked up the empty glasses up off of a nearby table. It had been a long night. She had, had to get Jimmy in twice to break up fights. She didn't usually have trouble with the locals, but some of the men were drinking rather heavily this evening. She wondered if it had something to do with the shooting at the Carter place. The doctor was till with Rebecca Carter. No one seemed to know how it had happened. If one of Amanda's girls hadn't gone to visit Rebecca that afternoon, she would probably have died. Suzanne was fairly new to town, but she and Rebecca had hit it off straight away. Rebecca preferred to judge people by what they were like on the inside, rather than what they did for a living. It had hit the town hard that anyone would hurt such a sweet person.

LAUGHING IN THE FACE OF DANGER By Kirsten T.

"I better go and save the town from them before someone gets brave enough to take one of them on. I'll see you later." Wrapping one arm around her tiny waist, he pulled her into his embrace and kissed her passionately. Before Jimmy could change his mind about leaving, a gunshot rang out. Jimmy rolled his eyes towards the ceiling. It was going to be a long day, he could tell. Giving Amanda a quick kiss good-bye, he climbed out of the window and made his way towards where the gunshot had come from.

YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE By Kirsten T.

Jimmy was still sleeping peacefully beside her. It was as if he could sleep through anything. They had managed to keep their relationship a secret from everyone in Abilene and it hadn't been easy. Jimmy would wait until everyone had left the saloon and then he would come in the back door that Amanda had left open, locking it behind him before quietly making his way upstairs to her room. Jimmy never judged her by her past and for once in her life she actually got some respect in a town, even though the town itself was somewhat less than respectful.

WHERE THE RIVER FLOWS By Kirsten T.
(First in the Curly series)

The river sparkled in the sun. The breeze gently blew through Curly's long dark hair. The army had moved his tribe onto a reservation during the war. It made Curly feel like a caged animal. He hated being told where he could go and what he could do. He wanted his freedom back. There were days when he wished that he and the river were one, so that he could flow out of there.

WHERE FLOWERS BLOOM By Kirsten T.

As he jumped, Curly pulled a dagger from his belt. "This is not a good day to die," he muttered to himself, stabbing his dagger into the side of the cliff, stopping himself from falling further. As he hung on the cliff, he heard the gunfire increase. Just what he needed, more people trying to kill him. But the sound of gunfire decreased.

"Don't tell me," a familiar voice came from above him. "You were just hanging around looking at the wonderful view?"
