CRAPPIE

White perch, also know as crappie, or, to our close Cajun neighbors, "sac au lait", are prized by many as the best eating fish around.
Spring time crappie usually show up among the grass lines of the creeks in mid April and stay strong until mid June. Small tube jigs, grubs, and puddle jumpers rigged up on light tackle make for some geat fishing action.
These fish will range from a half pound up to three pounds...now thats a SLAB!
Summer perch fishing is done over brush piles.
Out at dawn, in by noon...lunch and a nap...back on the water, in at sunset...what a way to spend a summer day on beautiful Toledo Bend !
