AS@UVA: The American Studies Department at the University of Virginia at Arlington put together this massive set of links to sites on African-American, Asian-American, Jewish-American, Latino and Native American subjects.

Race and Ethnicity General Resources: The American Studies Crossroads Project put together this extensive set of links.

Bibliography -- Diversity: The Poynter Institute for Media Studies has compiled this bibliography on diversity issues in journalism.

Diversity links: General resources on African-Americans, Asian-Americans, Latinos, Native Americans, women and gays and lesbians.

Black World: Search engine for African-American Web sites.

BlackFamilies: Great resource for searching for black-oriented Web sites and information.

AFRO-American: Online service of the black newspaper. Fairly good resource for online information.

NetNoir: Good resource but very slow to load.

NAACP: Good resource for ongoing issues, but it's another slow-loader.

MSBET: Lots of resources -- mostly BET cable programs -- if you can ever get it to load. In November, the MSBET portal is expected to be expanded with a new address.

AFRO-American Almanac: African-American history, folk tales, a few biographies, historical events and more.

Rutgers resources: Internet resources for students of Afro-American history from Rutgers University.

AAWC: The African-American Web Connection, created by William Richard Jones, contains great links.

Search black history: Search for people or events in black history on this page. From CLIMB.

Blackquest: Power links from the black-oriented directory/search engine.

Soul Search: Another Yahoo-type place, but it's faster and maybe a little more comprehensive than the others I tried.

Encyclopaedia Brittanica: The encyclopedia's "Guide to Black History." Has a very cool timeline. Frames.

African-American Newspapers: List of black newspapers and some other black-run publications across the United States. Listed by state.

CLNet: The Chicana/o-Latina/o Net is a network from the University System of California. Lots of great linkage.

LatinoLink: This is a Yahoo-like directory with good links. Here's a great links page of theirs I found somewhere else, but couldn't get there off the main site.

Hispanic.com: It looks like a fairly new site. Limited number of links to Hispanic Web sites.

Native American Resources Index: Comprehensive list of links to American Indian Web sites. A terrific resource.

Links to American Indian Sites: Lots of interesting places with good information. Great resource.

Anthology resources: This Washington State University World Civilizations site contains historical information on Indians from North to South America and includes a page on a few different tribes' beliefs on Creation.

Native American Home Pages: List of Web sites and more on the different tribes in the United States, groups that are recognized and those that are not by the U.S. government. Webmaster Lisa Mitten is a mixed-blood urban Mohawk who is a librarian at the University of Pittsburgh. This is the home page for her site, which has information on organizations, media, powwows, businesses and more.

BIA: The site for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, an agency within the U.S. Department of the Interior, contains government information.

Indian Health Service: The U.S. agency for Indian affairs within the U.S. Department of Health.

ANA: The Administration for Native Americans is an agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
