Some of my friends have wondered why I place news links on my website: two reasons.

Reading or watching the news should be an imporant part of everyone's regular routine, especially as Christians living in this world. It's very easy to get caught up in your own life and in your own bubble society, but God has created us to live as citizens of the earth as well as citizens of heaven. Shouldn't we at least know about major events effecting others in this country, across the world? Shouldn't we at least pray for those in need? Shouldn't we care for others? Actually we should do more than just pray; we should help those in need. But how can you help if you do not know? These articles are a mix of interest stories and news, and I hope to encourage people to read about real life events across the world, both the encouraging and tragic news. The second reason is to make myself accountable for reading the news on a daily basis.

For those of you out there who do not read or watch the news on a regular basis, especially you Christians, I encourage you to read, listen or watch one article (just one) a day and pray. God will open your vision of life and people.
