30 Day Warranty
*Richmond, Va Rock*

30 Day Warranty is a dedicated, hard working, energetic, power-pop punk rock trio from the southside of Richmond, Virginia. Drawing from the influences of Green Day, Blink 182, Dag Nasty, and The Goo Goo Dolls and local greats such as River City High, Four Walls Falling, Strike Anywhere, Ann Beretta, and the late Inquisition. Forming in May of 1999, the band began composing original music right away and since then, has practiced incessantly, played almost anywhere and everywhere around the hometown of Richmond and outside of it (see the old shows section, and recorded twice, both recordings being self-produced, self-released affairs.

Our first show was a Battle of the Bands where we took 3rd place among many other great Richmond bands. We continued to gig around everywhere as much as possible to help get our name out. In December of 1999 we decided it was time to commit our best songs at that time to tape. This was our first experience recording and it was done in a garage on a 4 track. While the quality was not the best it could be, these 8 songs were released in January of 2000 in the form of the One Voice cassette. It sold very well and helped get our name around Richmond. On April 28, 2000 we competed in another Battle of the Bands at the local club Twisters where we placed first winning 200 dollars cash. We then went on to play there with such bands as The Juliana Theory, The Impossibles, Daycare Swindlers, The Unsung Zeros, Blue Line Medic, Dodge Ball, Strike Anywhere, Wesley Willis, and River City High.

By May of 2000 we were almost sold out of tapes and had recently written a lot of new material that we felt had shown a tremendous growth in us. Based on our previous garage recording experience, we decided it was time to take things a little more seriously and do a professional sounding and looking album in the form of our most recent recording, the Songs Before EP. By June we had all the songs selected for the record and began to select a studio. Our search turned up the services of the extraordinarily talented producer/engineer,John Demaio at The Recording Studio Annex in Richmond, Va. We spent the four days in the studio in early August (two recording, two mixing) and mastered on September first. The Songs Before EP was released November 17, 2000 (pressing only 500 copies because we lacked the financial resources to make more). We experienced a delay in production due to our inexperience with films and duplication plants, however the CD has sold and continues to sell quite well since the time of its release. (as of May 2001, 300 copies have been sold) We have self-distributed this new record in many different towns, cities and states and our mail-order section of our page sells many CDs by itself along with our T-shirts and stickers. We also feel we experienced another growth in our song writing with our newest songs since the debut of the record. At the present moment we are involved in booking for our full on four week summer tour along the East coast, and working hard on the release of an acoustic album, which features six songs, one of these six appears on the Songs Before EP as an unlisted track.

From day one, 30 Day Warranty has always promoted themselves, whether it be a new recording, a show or anything to do with ourselves with a die hard work ethic, and a determination to always give it our best no matter what the situation. We know music is where our dreams and hopes are and we strongly believe in what we are doing and in who we are and we hope you do as well. Feel free to contact us to have us come play your town, or what you think of our CDs, tapes, or shows. We love to hear from you! Thank you all so much for your support and thanks for checking us out!
