We are happy to announce that Benjamin Banneker DEA is undergoing improvements in the spring of 2000. A new fence with double gates has been installed, enclosing a dog exercise area of about 0.6 acre. The park is now wheelchair accessible and has a permanent, year-round water supply. We also have a new kiosk with a bulletin board for posting information; signs posting the rules will be up soon. A landscape design is in the works and a timed lighting sytem is comtemplated.

Location and Directions

Take I-66 West to Sycamore St. Exit 69. Turn left on Sycamore past East Falls Church Metro Station. Turn right on North 16th St. Then take first right on N. Sycamore, which deadends at the dog exercise area.
