Counter-Strike is a multiplayer-based MOD for the most excellent
computer game HλLF-LIFE. What's a MOD you might ask... well it's a MODification to the original,
and so ..... it's MODified! Anyway, Counter-Strike, since it's a MODification, has new weapons,
new levels, new player models, and a new style of game play.
The gameplay is based around two teams trying achieve a certain objective. The two teams are the Counter-Terrorists, and the Terrorists, (ct's & T's). Each side has different factions which the player can choose from.
Each side has a different objective for each map, sometimes the ct's have to rescue some hostages,
or defend a certain target, while the t's have to defend the hostages or blow up a certain target.
There are a whole assortment of items and weapons to use, from your basic pistols to the sniper rifles,
submachine guns, machine guns, grenades, and body armor, etc. And after each round of combat, each side
gets money, the individual income varies though, you get more money if your side wins, if you kill an enemy,
or rescue a hostage, and stuff like that.
Basically Counter-Strike is an excellent team-based multiplayer MOD for Half-Life, plus it's FREE!
If you liked TFC or Half-Life multiplayer, you're gonna love Counter-Strike!
