red faction - the best first person shooter on the ps2 right now. nice long game, and the new geo-mod tech and being able to save anywhere is a nice advantage. 9.3

nba street - i hate basketball games, but this is the acception. this game is a must-have if you own a ps2. it's like the old nba jam, except in the ghetto, and with a lot more tricks etc. 9.6

onimushia - think of resident evil accept with ninjas. the game itself is amazing, but it is way too short. it only took me about 4 hours to beat, but some of the puzzles took a long time to figure out. the sequel is comming out sometime next year, so be on the watch for it. 9.1

klonoa 2 - yes, at first glance, it looks like a kiddy game. it is a very fun platform game, and some of the puzzles are very hard to figure out. this game is a must if you enjoy games like spyro and crash. the only downside is that the game isn't very long. 9.6

ssx - one of my favorite games on the ps2. it's pretty much cool boarders on speed. a lot of tracks and characters, and you can upgrade your character's stats after winning races. an update to this game, called "ssx tricky" is comming out soon. i would hold off untill this is released, because it will feature more tracks etc. 9.7

tekken tag - hands down the best fighter on the ps2. there are tons of fighters, each with their own fighting style. the new tag feature adds a lot of depth to the game, as well as ejoyment. check it out. 9.3

gran turismo 3 - when i first got this game, i thought it was the coolest thing in the world. it is in fact the best racer.....ever, but it does get boring. after you get the f090/s, the races aren't challenging at all. but, if you are one of those people who has to beat everything all the way through, this game will last you for at least 30 or so hours. 9.5

twisted metal: black - this is the best game on the ps2. the storys are great, and the gameplay is un-beatable. even the easy mode takes a long time to beat with one character. definitly a learning curve, but once you get used to the controls etc., get ready to play this game for 2-3 hours at a time. 9.9
