The Yellow Submarine |
|
The Submarine - approximately 13' -
This 2-man sub, is a battery powered vessel, that is propelled and
maneuvered by (4) 12 Volt thrust motors. The sub can be towed to a
specific site, submersed and maneuvered about with ease. Being able to enter
in a dry environment will allow us to extend our work into the colder months
when underwater visibility is greater. |
Cameras, lighting, and sound
equipment can all be mounted on the bow framework. This system would
give us the opportunity to serve the folks that care about the bay even
more. |
|
|
Good news! We have in the works to get a trailer
that we can launch and retrieve the sub, rather than the flatbed as you see
in the pictures. This is a big step forward!
|
| Although we are working on it,
the sub is currently unserviceable, until funds are raised. |

Volunteer &
Co-Founder Charlie Depping shows a future diver the inside of the sub. |
Volunteer Linda shows us when you see the actual size of the submarine with an
adult person in it, it gives you a better idea of just how small it really
is. Imagine two people in there! |
