Favorite Flies Series

The Favorite Flies series began in the Sep-Oct 09 issue with the webmaster's collection of favorite flies from past contributors and continued until the last issue.  The remaining series  targeted different flies for different species, for different times of the year. Surface flies for steelhead, Winter Steelhead flies, and Pacific Salmon flies are some of the types of flies that are covered in this series.  Keep in mind that none of these series are presented as a definitive checklist of flies that should be used. Some of them are chosen simply because they are favorites for color or looks. It is noted on the pages however, when some have a proven record for success.
