Golden Girl

A Couple Golden Girls

A Couple Golden Girls

Golden Girl was tied by Contributing Fly Tyer, Alyssa Halls. Alyssa Halls and Neil Strickland, who is also a contributing fly tyer own ANADROMY, a unique online store specializing in "quality, innovative, and effective patterns" for Steelhead, centrally located on the beautiful Hoh River on the Olympic Peninsula..

Alyssa's Notes
Photo 1: A couple of Golden Girls. The foreground fly was adapted to a 3/0 Alec Jackson Spey hook. In the background is another Girl tied on a size 2 Salmon hook. This pattern was introduced in the 1940s by Rodrick Haig-Brown, though his recipe calls for a tail of Indian crow. I used a tail of naturally-red Amherst crest, but otherwise followed the original recipe.

Photo 2: The original sketch I did for the idea with the recipe, and both Golden Girls.
