Variations on the Black and Blue Marabou Variant
Black and Blue Variants

These flies are inspired on a fly by Steve Burke, the "Black and Blue Marabou Variant" (which was also inspired by a pattern published on the book "Fishing for Pacific Salmon" by Bruce Ferguson, Les Johnson and Pat Trotter), but since I do not like marabou I made some change to the tail material.

Here is my recipe as I tied them.

Materials:

Hook: Gamakatsu T10-6H size 4
Tag: Flat silver tinsel, medium
Tail: Dyed black natural sheep fleece
Abdomen: Silver Oval tinsel, fine
Thorax: A base of Berlin wool with same color mohair hair dubbed on a loop, again of same color as the base
Hackle: Dyed black rooster saddle
Head: Same color as the thorax (i put a silver tinsel base underneath)
