Paul Smith's River King Steelhead Flies |

|
Paul Smith was born in California and has lived there my whole life. In 1970 he started fishing in bass tournaments and would pour all his own jigs and make spinnerbaits - thus the name for his email address. His brother had gave him a fly tying kit during those years and he started tying a few bass flies but never got really into it until he sustained a severe back injury in his job in 1991. For years he could not fish, so fly tying became a full-time hobby. Paul's son and daughter took him to Alaska for "a wonderful float trip" some years later and since then he developed a serious interest in tying salmon flies, eventually starting a business selling them. Paul Smith has long been one of the major contributors of Pacific Salmon flies to Salmonfly.Net. In the Jan/Feb issue we showed some of his new flies and gave a plug for his business, River King Flies. Now River King Flies has a new line of Steelhead flies. Those flies are displayed below, should you be interested in purchasing them from Paul. River King Steelhead Flies Hover mouse over the thumbnail to view.
