Faltin's Royal Gold, tied for Atlantic Salmon looks like it would be equally effective for Steelhead under the right conditions. The fly was tied by our newest contributing fly tyer, Swedish tyer Jan Faltin. The name of this fly is derived from the name and story of his grand father Royl, who was born in Michigan- Escanaba-Delta in 1897, where his father Ernest F Engberg was digging for gold. You can see more of Jan's flies at The Flies of Jan Faltin.
