Kenyaman

Name Kenyaman
Category Atlantic Salmon
Hook Size 6 to 10, Single Salmon Hook
Thread Black
Tail Golden Pheasant Topping
Body Wide Oval Silver Tinsel
Wing Dyed Yellow Goat or Squirrel Hair
Hackle Black Hen, Long and Webby, Tied Full Circle

This pattern came from the fine book by Peter O'Reilly, Trout & Salmon Flies of Ireland. He writes that this fly had its origins at the Burrishoole Fishery in Co. Mayo around 1950. It probably received its name because it was brought there by an angler from Kenya.
