Juner Shrimp (Downey) |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
This pattern came from the fine book by Peter O'Reilly, Trout & Salmon Flies of Ireland. He writes that the Juner Shrimp was devised by Chris Downey, manager of Foxford Fishery's private beats on the Moy. It gets its name from being an excellent fly for fresh June fish, but it's also noted for taking fish in cold weather.
