Kilchis Killer, Pink (Shewey)

The pattern for this fly came from the fine book by John Shewey, Northwest Fly Fishing Trout and Beyond. This is the Pink version, see the Chartreuse Kilchis Killer, for perhaps what would be the more popular version of this fly. Chum Salmon, seem to prefer some version of green over all other colors, but sometimes they also seem to prefer pink. The pink version is shown here because, while fishing for Chums this past week at Hoodsport all morning with chartreuse, I was not able to induce a hit until I switched to pink.
