Enticer (Variant)

Name Enticer (Variant)
Category Silver Salmon, Chum Salmon
Hook Salmon, TUE, Sizes 2-6
Thread Danville's Flat-Waxed Nylon Chartreuse
Tail Chartreuse Zonker Strip
Body Chartreuse SLF, Picked Out
Eyes Chartreuse or Yellow Dumbbell Eyes, Black Pupil
Head Pink Chenille, Figure 8 Around, Behind and in Front of Eyes

I love these flies because they are simple to tie and they really catch salmon. Nothing fancy about them. The dumbbell eyes will get it down to the salmon in deep runs. It's especially effective for chums and silvers. This fly is a variation of a fly called JW Enticer (Origin Unknown). The JW Enticer version calls for a chartreuse chenille body wrapped over with chartreuse cactus chenille.
