Chum Chaser

Name Chum Chaser
Category Pacific Salmon
Hook Size 2/0 to 2, Saltwater hook
Thread Red
Body Red sparkle braid
Wing Chartreuse Zonker strip, twice the hook length, tied in behind the head
Head Red

This is another easy to tie fly that I used for Chum Salmon last year. It is named in honor of a another simple yet effective fly - the Humpy Chaser, although this one has a little more material on it. I just liked the snappy name. I fished this one in an estuary creek - the reason for the salt water hook, and usually when the tide was rising or receding, the reason for the weight adding bead chain eyes.
